Pay More - Get Less
The Tory Council Tax Rip-off Inside Story County Councillor Derek Smyth will be the guest speaker at a meeting to be held on Monday 21 April commencing at 7:45 at the Friends' Meeting House, The Friars Canterbury. All members are welcome. Derek is the Deputy Leader of the county Labour Group and holds the Shadow Finance portfolio. As well as giving us the lowdown on the Tory finances, Derek will also be pleased to answer any questions related to County Council matters. Following our speaker, there will be a short General Committee meeting to discuss any urgent business. |

Whitstable Branch Our next Branch meeting will be held at the Whitstable Labour Club on Monday 2 June at 8:00pm. We will be doing voter identification on Sunday 20 April at 10:30am and Saturday 26 April at 2:30pm, meeting at the Labour Club. We have a stall at Whitstable Castle on Monday 5 May between 9:00am and 5:00pm for the May Day event. Books, plants and bric-a-brac are being collected by Jean Samuel, telephone 770040, 16 Genesta Avenue. Please contact Jean if you are able to help with the stall. |
Canterbury Branch As there are two Bank Holiday Mondays in May, the next Branch meeting will be help on Monday 2 June, 7:30pm at the Friends' Meeting House. We will be doing voter identification on Sunday 27 April and Sunday 25 May, meeting at 10:00am at the Post Office junction of Sturry Road and Reed Avenue. Whitstable Labour Club The Annual General Meeting is due to take place on Thursday 8 May at the Labour Club, Belmont Road at 8:00pm. All members are encouraged to attend. |
