Project Description

Naomi is passionate about supporting her community not just with words, but with actions.

At the start of the pandemic last March, she saw first hand how the Tory government was failing those looking after our sick and elderly and personally made 100 masks that were distributed to local care home workers. As a volunteer, Naomi delivers meals for AgeUK and has seen close up the isolation and loneliness that blights so many of the older people in our community. As a councillor she will campaign for care workers to be allowed a minimum of 30 minutes for home visits as well as insisting that they are paid at least a living wage.

Before settling in Seasalter, where she enjoys sea swimming, bird watching and dog walking, Naomi had a 25-year career designing and building playgrounds across the UK and contributed to the Mayor of London’s  Play Policy.

Her work with young people has made her dedicated to an education system that meets each child’s individual needs. As a KCC councillor, Naomi will campaign relentlessly to ensure that no child is left behind – she has seen personally how not getting the best solutions
for each child can fail them for a lifetime.
